Nikhil Singhal¶
CTO | VP Engineering | AI Practitioner & Governance Strategist
25+ years of engineering leadership at Microsoft, T-Mobile, AT&T, Expedia Group, and Hitachi Consulting. Based in Seattle, WA.
The HIP Charter emerged from a year of building with AI as a full partner across eight products, thousands of commits, and a daily practice that demanded a better framework for describing how human and AI intelligence actually work together. The charter is not theoretical. It was discovered through the work.
Nikhil is also the founder of AI Trust Commons, an open-source initiative building the cross-provider governance layer for AI agents. He submitted a public comment to NIST on AI agent governance and is writing a book, From Instinct to Intent™, on the journey from instinct to deliberate design in human-AI interaction.
